Today is Saint David's Day, the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. Following local traditions, Jonny and I will be sporting the national emblem of the daffodil and consuming 'cawl'. Cawl is the Welsh word for soup or broth. Its ingredients tend to vary, but lamb and leeks are particularly common, owing to their association with Wales. We are so excited about the day's celebrations that we've accepted a lunch invite for cawl and a dinner invite for cawl! Maybe by the end of the day we'll know something about who this David bloke actually is!
