The winner completed the course in 2hr 14mins (incidentally a new course record).
Jill's time was only:
- 58 minutes (or 43% slower) than the male winner of the race
- 27 minutes (or 16% slower) than the first female to cross the line
N.B. it should be noted that these are both professional (full time) athletes.
Her time was in the top 3.6% of all runners and in the top 0.9% of female runners. Only 104 (including 6 female) runners crossed the line before Jill.
Jill smashed her PB by a massive 37 minutes (10.5%).
Jill came in before:
- 2778 other marathon runners (male and female)
- 2241 relay teams, only 40 relay teams were quicker than her
What a girl!
Jill has asked that I point out that she did not post this update...
