Learning Update

Over the previous five weeks we have learned the sounds associated with 14 consonants and 24 vowels, together with their various combinations.

We still have around 20 more consonants to learn but we had thought that we had finally got to grips with all the vowels.  Imagine our delight when we learned today that the 24 vowel sounds already memorised apply only to the first block of consonants, and the same vowels when combined with the next set of consonants produce completely different sounds!

Trying to learn sounds associated with all possible consonent-vowel permutations alongside trying to correct a lisp is tough work!
