K'Bam is the name of the village 3 CfC staff (plus a visitor) went to today. We went with the purpose of researching the village and family details, in the hope that we can find sponsors to fully support the education of the children there.

This village, plus another one in very close proximity, has in excess of 55 children regularly attending the project for supplementary education and care. Many families in this village make cloth to sell in the local town. This cottage industry is skilled, labour intensive work. However, the profit for a week's hard work is only around $20. Some families also grow rice to provide additional income and food.

Below are some snaps

After heavy rain the night before the road to the village was pretty wet.

We had to roll up our trousers and hope there wasn't anything nasty in the water!

When travelling between two villages we turned on corner and unexpectedly faced this. Khemera was a little concerned about his car!

On the way home we stopped for a snack.
